Is your blog site a stagnant piece of marketing real estate that is losing its readership? One of the things we hate to see is an intelligent business owner who is missing out on major engagement with his or her target market.
A few ways to keep your audience engaged is to pump life into your blog by creating great content, promoting it and connecting with your readers!

Great blog post and video slideshow! As a web writer and editor, my blogging clients “on the verge” will benefit from your easy-to-understand, no nonsense summary of blogging as a marketing tool. I’ll definitely pass this on to my clients!

Hi Anna,
Thank you for your thoughts and your willingness to share the post.
What is one of the common problems that you see your clients facing with regards to keeping their blog active?

Good suggestions. I’m an author trying to build an audience…and it’s slow going though I’ve done most of the steps above. I’m going to add the wisestamp idea to my arsenal. Thanks.

Hi Jeanne,
Thank you for the note. Time and consistency will help you to reach your goals. When you add the wisetamp to your email send me a message so that I can check it out.
Thank you for the note. How long have you been working on building your audience?

Hi Wil,
It’s a great reminder. I’m just getting my new blog started and have to admit it’s fallen to the bottom of the list a few times as I get the online part of my business up. I’m completely consistent with my newsletter but haven’t worried much about the blog as I’m just getting going with that part.
Do you have any suggestions where else to post my blog? I know in the past I’ve used blog directories (for other sites). Are those still worth doing?
I love your clean, clear messaging.
Warmly,
Jana

Hi Jana,
Thank you or your comments. In answer to your question, one thing that I would recommend is that you share your blog posts with social media groups that you belong to. Wherever you spend time with your target market online, let them know that you have published some great content and share the link to your new blog post.
As for the directories, test and measure. Submit your posts and measure the traffic that is going to your website. Also measure conversions. That means pay attention to the percentage of visitors to your website who sign up for your newsletter.
Jana, what is your main goal that you want to accomplish with your blog?
